Lettings
Dunottar’s beautiful buildings and extensive facilities are available for hire by outside individuals and organisations. They are suitable for a variety of functions, including concerts, conferences, birthdays, weddings and other special occasions. The school’s sports facilities, including the swimming pool, sports hall, outside courts and playing field, are also available for booking.
The Ballroom Suite
- The Suite comprises the Ballroom, Drawing Room and magnificent Entrance Hall
- The Ballroom seats 50 people or 80 people standing buffet style
- The Drawing Room seats 16 people around a boardroom table
- This superb suite of rooms is very popular for birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Buffets are usually laid out in the Drawing Room with reception drinks in the Entrance Hall and meals are taken in the Ballroom. The suite is self-contained with catering and cloakroom facilities.

The Senior School Assembly Hall
- Adaptable for theatre or function use
- Seats 300 for concerts or conferences
- Capacity for 180 at tables with room for a dance floor and dance band on the stage
- Includes stage with lights, sound system and presentation facilities
- Forms self-contained suite with catering and cloakroom facilities and storage rooms.
- Parking available on site for 60 cars
The Junior School Assembly Hall
- Adaptable for conference or function use
- Seats 100 for concerts and conferences. Presentation facilities available
- Seats 80 comfortably for a buffet style meal or 100 less formally
- Accessed through the main school grounds
- Cloakroom facilities nearby
- Parking available on site for 60 cars
Sports Hall, Swimming Pool
& Outside Sports Facilities
- The indoor Sports Hall has a full size netball or tennis court or four badminton courts
- There are male and female changing rooms
- This excellent facility, which was built in 2002, can be used for many types of sports, including volleyball, basketball, gymnastics or dance and can be divided into two sections
- There are three outside tennis courts and a large playing field that is suitable for cricket, football, rounders, hockey, lacrosse and athletics, both field and track
- The 25 metre swimming pool has male and female changing rooms and is 10’ 6” at the deep end and 3’ 6” at the shallow end

Insurance
If hiring the Senior or Junior School Assembly Halls or the Ballroom Suite, Event Cover Insurance is required. This may be obtained through the School at a cost of £95. To hire the Sports Hall and Swimming Pool external Public Liability Insurance Cover is required. Hirers of the Swimming Pool must follow all safety instructions and have a current Lifeguard Certificate. These documents must be presented to the School before the hiring commences.
Cleaning
For hire of the School for a social function the cost of cleaning will be added to the account.
